We invite you to discover how the second edition of the Superpowers project unfolded. The project is promoted by the Maria Canals Competition together with the Sifu Foundation and ESMUC, with the collaboration of the Banc Sabadell Foundation.
Over the course of four months, a string quartet with piano—made up of ESMUC students and musicians with disabilities—prepared a classical repertoire centered around the theme of night, through weekly rehearsals, under the supervision of Albert Gumí, Rosalía Gómez, and Guillem León. The rehearsals culminated in two concerts held in Barcelona and Córdoba.
On the occasion of its 70th edition, the Competition presents its first series of podcasts, revealing the intimate and human stories of the people who make this event possible. Through conversations with collaborators, participants, and members of the competition team, journalist Ana Maria Dávila invites us to discover the more personal and unknown side of the competition. Listen to the podcasts on the Maria Canals Competition's YouTube channel or Spotify profile.
