The competition involves over a hundred families who provide their piano to contestants, giving them the opportunity to connect with local people and experience our way of life. This adds a more human dimension to the activity they come to carry out.
For more information, you can contact Glòria Bartomeus, responsible for the pianos: pianos@mariacanals.org
Sponsor a concert
The Competition offers contestants a platform to perform concerts across Catalonia, Spain, and abroad, which are paid to help boost their careers. They are world-class pianists, young talents who will make a career.
If you are a concert promoter, cultural manager, or an individual interested in music and want to contribute to the career of our contestants, you can send us an email at info@mariacanals.org to organize a concert at your institution or in a private venue.
Become a facilitator
The facilitators are the heart and soul of the OFF Competition. Every time we place pianos in the streets with the initiative “Pianos on the streets”, we accompany them with an enthusiastic music practitioner who encourages everyone, regardless of their cultural, social, or economic background, to play the grand piano. The facilitators help us grow the street pianos project and also contribute to the social project and the work we do with both formal and non-formal education centers. These enthusiasts are either volunteers or advanced piano students.
If you want to get involved and help us make music practice universal, write to us at info@mariacanals.org.
Make a donation
Donations are of great help to us. On one hand, they contribute to making the competition possible, but they also support the development of the careers of our contestants and award winners.
Moreover, our entire outreach, educational, and social project, the OFF Competition, can benefit greatly, as with a small contribution, we may be able to launch new initiatives to bring music practice closer to everyone, especially the piano.
