The Maria Canals Competition joins the Night of Museums!

This Saturday, May 17th, the Maria Canals International Piano Competition is joining the celebration of the Night of Museums with a very special program in collaboration with TMB.
The exhibition “Maria Canals, a Competition with Soul,” held at Espai Mercè Sala (located in the Diagonal metro station), will be open throughout the night so you can visit it in a unique and festive atmosphere. This exhibition commemorates the 70th edition of the Maria Canals Competition in Barcelona and, through iconic images, pays tribute to all the people who have been part of the competition’s soul since its founding in 1954. It tells the story of seven decades dedicated to bringing music closer to everyone, with commitment, talent, and inclusion.
Additionally, the piano located in the metro station will also take center stage with live performances!
