This year, the Vila Casas Foundation is collaborating with the Maria Canals International Piano Competition, which is celebrating its 70th edition. The Foundation will award the third prize of the competition, valued at €6,000, and is organizing a special day of music and art at the Can Framis Museum, with free entry open to all.
Throughout the day, a grand piano will be available in the Can Framis square for anyone to play and experience up close, with a facilitator guiding the activity.
Day Program
- Morning and afternoon → School visits with a special tour of the museum’s permanent painting collection, linking art and music. Students will have the opportunity to play the piano and enjoy an immersive experience.
- All day → Open piano experimentation session, accessible to everyone.
Featured Activities in the Afternoon
- 5:00 PM → Guided tour of the permanent collection with Bernat Puigdollers, artistic director of the Vila Casas Foundation. He will present a selection of works related to Víctor Oller’s upcoming concert. (Limited capacity, prior registration required.)
- 6:00 PM → Converses entre l’aigua i la terra concert by Víctor Oller, a recital of original compositions inspired by the duality between water and earth, in dialogue with works from the Can Framis Museum collection.
- 7:15 PM → Presentation of the Maria Canals third prize, awarded by the Vila Casas Foundation, followed by a recital by the winner of the Vila Casas Foundation Prize.
